I just stumbled onto this while searching for fencing in the vast hinterlands between Big D and H-Town...

Anything you'd like to tell us, schlager7? Planning to re-locate soon and want a forum in place when you get there?

Nothing much to tell. There is not exactly a lot of fencing activity in the area around Tyler/Kilgore/Longview/Marshall.

Still, I kept encountering the odd query about fencing in the area on different, regional, non-fencing fora.

Proboards fora are free and only involve a small bit of maintenance, mostly spam deletion, so I set up a forum to draw in these queries over time. It also becomes a place to list/announce those schools and teachers that do offer fencing instruction in the area.

If nothing much happens over the next many months, a few keystrokes can delete the forum. If it becomes a busier place, my plan would be to appoint someone more local as Global Moderator and turn the thing over to them.

Not a big deal. No secret move. I just never announced it because its existence did not have much bearing on this forum.
